Agé de seize ans, Didar vivait dans le village de Kacharikandi Moshajan au Bangladesh depuis son enfance. Son père a été condamné à la prison alors que Didar n’avait que trois ans et continue à purger sa peine. Sa mère est travailleuse journalière et la famille entière vit de son revenu. Avec si peu d'argent, Didar n’est jamais allé à l'école. Il y avait peu d'occasions d’emploi et il était frustré de ne pouvoir se prendre en charge.
