WaterHackathon—a collaborative event between software developers and designers to solve water problems—blogged about the benefits and limitations of Field Level Operations Watch (FLOW).

Developed by Water For People (WFP) with Gallatin Systems, FLOW is an innovative android technology for tracking the operational status of water and sanitation projects at various locations around the world. WaterHackathon describes how Water For People, the World Bank, and IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre are using FLOW for their water-based initiatives. Representatives of the organisations, including Nick Dickinson, IRC programme officer, shared real-world experiences with FLOW. Dickinson gave insight into how FLOW is used to support Triple-S in Ghana.
