Abstract | An intensive village health improvement was begun in Taiwan as part of a community development programme. Its goal was to have the county or city provide the budget and personnel for mobilizing township manpower resources for intensive village health improvement. The programme included personal hygiene, home sanitation, fly control, environmental sanitation and family planning. Village health education nurses worked closely with county advisory committees and the township in organizing resources and training local workers. Details of instructions for families, training and conducting group meetings, and means used to maintain records and activities are given. |
