Abstract

The report was prepared by a Working Group on Rainfall Water Management and contains individual contributions as well as a compilation of the technical material presented at the UNESCO expert meeting held from 15 - 17 November 1994 in Cairo. Issues covered include rainfall/runoff characteristics, rainfall water management practices in the Arab Region (including precipitation enhancement, evaporation control, harvesting, artificial recharge). The report ends with a set of conclusions, regional priorities, and recommendations.
