Abstract

The dire state of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in Liberia constitutes a public health crisis that is killing Liberians and robbing many more of their dignity: three out of four people have no access to safe water, six out of seven are without access to safe sanitation facilities, and altogether unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene practices cause 18 per cent of all deaths in Liberia. The film shows the existing day to day challenges the people of Liberia go through to access water and sanitation services. The video appeals for support to the governments and other stakeholders such as NGOs which are working to improve service delivery.
