For the last decade (since the Second World Water Forum in The Hague, 2000) finance has been a regular item on the agenda of international discussions of water and sanitation and has been a staple theme of the Global Water Partnership, World Water Council, and the EU Water Initiative Finance Working Group, amongst other networks and fora.
