Abstract

This report describes the baseline of the technology approval process in Uganda, Ghana and Burkina Faso. The WASHTech consortium, through the development of the TAF and the Learning Alliances, is trying to improve the situation for innovative technology approval in these three countries. By asking stakeholders at this stage whether they perceive a need for the TAF, whether they would use it and exactly what role it should fulfil, the TAF can be developed to suit their needs. At the end of the project (2013) another survey will be done to see what WASHTech has been able to achieve, measured against expectations and present KAP. [authors abstract]
