Abstract

The Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip and Israel's military operation in Gaza in December 2008-January 2009 have exacerbated existing water quality and supply problems and caused increased damage to water resources essential for agriculture. In the past, agriculture production in Gaza ensured food security. Currently, agriculture in the Gaza Strip is barely viable. [authors abstract]
