IRC's CEO will serve as chair of the decision-making body of Sanitation and Water for All for the coming three years.

During the recent Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) Steering Committee meeting IRC’s CEO Patrick Moriarty was elected as their chair. Sareen Malik, coordinator and secretary to the Board of the African Civil Society Network on Water and Sanitation (ANEW) was elected vice-chair. Both chair and vice-chair have been elected for a three-year period. The Steering Committee is SWA’s ultimate decision-making body.
It was the first face-to-face SWA Steering Committee meeting in Berlin on 20 June 2019. Other items on the agenda were the new SWA Strategy 2020-2030, the private sector’s engagement with the partnership and preparations for the 2020 Finance Ministers’ Meeting.
