| Abstract | A tube well near Koudougou in Burkina Faso was accidentally polluted. Several causes of the faecal pollution are discussed. A system injecting a chlorine solution into the well was chosen as the most appropriate disinfection method. After two days of injection pumping, five days of static action and two days of back pumping, the water in the well was potable again. |
